                                       Demonic Child

                         A smile soothes and leaves you in wonder
                               A laugh has you on your knees
                                A tear has you torn asunder.

                               An innocent child she portrays.

                            Whilst you turn your back and work,
                                Behind you she does so lurk.
                                        Calculating.

                                  In her bedroom she lies,
                             Her toys not knowing another time.
                            Her chance arrives and she complies.

                                      Patient is she.

                                 Her act is now complete
                              You are down without a knowing,
                              And she stands tall on her feet.

                                     Oblivious are you
                                 As you search so blindly
                          She watches calmly as you haven't a clue.

                                    Outsmart you she has.

                            She has you wrapped around her finger
                                    You have no knowing,
                                        Have you now.

                                Her face is that of an angel,
                             Although her actions speak otherwise
                             Actions you believe are but sad lies.

                                          Come now,
                                        Won't you see?
                               A child merely dressed as an angel
                                      But demonic is she.
